Community Service Opportunity!
The South Bay Youth for Change is a group of youth
advocates who work to improve the health, safety, and quality of life of their
community by addressing underage drinking and drug use issues. Students
who participate in this group will be involved in the following activities
(just a sampling):
- Gathering data to identify problems and policy solutions related to underage drinking and substance abuse in the South Bay Region (they’d be working specifically in IB)
- Writing news releases and letters to the editor
- Speaking at city council meetings
- And much more …
We will have a presenter to recruit students for the project
on Wed., December 7th during study period. Students can sign up in the Counseling
Center.
